Srijan Foundation (SF) is a Jharkhand-based non-profit organization that emerged in 1995 with a dedicated group of young professionals. Formally it came into existence on 07 February 2001.
Founded in 1995 by a group of passionate young professionals, Srijan Foundation (SF) began with a shared dream — to create a just and equitable society where every individual, regardless of background, has the opportunity to grow and thrive. What started as a small initiative driven by compassion and conviction has grown into a respected non-profit organization working across Jharkhand and Bihar.

To empower marginalized communities by strengthening grassroots organizations and building local capacity, focusing on children, adolescent girls, and young women to achieve self-reliance and sustainable development.

SF envisions building a just and equitable society where marginalized communities are empowered, self-reliant, and have equal opportunities to thrive with dignity and sustainable livelihoods.
Goal
SF works to create inclusive development for marginalized communities in Jharkhand, especially women and children, through direct interventions, strengthening grassroots organizations, and advocating for community rights through practical development models and capacity building initiatives.

Leading Srijan Foundation has been a deeply fulfilling journey — one rooted in hope, resilience, and the shared belief that every individual has the right to live with dignity and opportunity. When we began this journey in 1995, we were a small group of committed individuals united by a simple yet powerful vision: to stand beside those whose voices often go unheard and to help them build pathways toward empowerment.
Over the years, we have witnessed remarkable stories of transformation — children stepping confidently into classrooms, women shaping their own economic futures, and communities taking collective action to claim their rights. These moments continue to inspire us and reaffirm our faith in the power of people-led change.
Our progress would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our partners, donors, and well-wishers, and the tireless dedication of our team members who bring compassion, integrity, and professionalism to everything they do.
